The Cornelius Brothers and Sister Rose were two-hit wonders, and both were "Great Songs of the '70s."
We highlighted their second hit, 1972's "Too late to Turn Back Now" back8/18/20, and you can read about it here: on https://www.facebook.com/MichaelCuuuk/posts/204013831072072
Their debut single, 1971's "Treat Her Like a Lady" was written by Eddie Cornelius, and the finished product was helped immensely when Mama Cornelius asked Sister Rose (who had a semi-successful solo career going) to come home and help her brothers by joining the group.
"Treat Her Like a Lady" was a very successful debut single, reaching #3 on Billboard's Hot 100 and #10 on Canada's Top 40.
When the spotlights faded after their two "Great Songs," Eddie Cornelius became an ordained minister, moved into Gospel music, and is still a working singer and author. Rose eventually moved to Florida, where she sang with local groups until she passed away in 2017 at the age of 70.
