Too Late to Turn Back Now (1972) 8/18/20

Trivia Question: Who came first, The Cornelius Bothers...or Sister Rose?

The answer? Sister Rose!

Rose Cornelius had a semi-successful career going in the late '60s and early '70s, appearing on the Ed Sullivan Show, singing in Vegas, and touring the world with a Jazz Gospel Group.

Back home in Florida, her siblings Eddie and Carter were honing their own talents, and Mom Cornelius asked Rose to come home and help out.

It didn't take long before Eddie was writing songs and Rose was arranging them. One of their best collaborations turned out to be a “Great Song of the '70s!

In 1972, “Too Late to Turn Back Now” made the Top 10 on 3 Billboard charts at the same time: #2 on the Hot 100, #5 on the R&B Chart and #6 on the Adult Contemporary Chart.

It was smooth, soulful and catchy, and that's why I believe, I believe, I believe “Too Late to Turn Back Now” is a “Great Song of the '70s!”
