It's a rare event, but sometimes a Bluegrass song can also be a Pop song--and a hit on both the Country and Pop charts at the same time. In 1979, Charlie Daniels pulled this off with a song that went to #1 on the Country Charts in both Canada and the U.S. while simultaneously hitting #5 & #3 (respectively) on the Pop Charts. Two versions of the song were released, but they differed by only one word--one rated "G," the other "R." Below is the "R" version.
