In 1976, an Irish rock band was touring America without much success until a couple of radio DJs in Kentucky started playing the heck out one of their songs. One station led to another and before you know it, Thin Lizzy had a hit! It went to #12 in the U.S., #8 in Canada--and, of course, #1 in Ireland. "New Musical Express," Great Britain's premiere music magazine at the time, named it the 1976 single of the year! CRANK IT UP!
