Happy Labor Day!

As I spend the day working at the convenience store, I leave you with this “Great Song of 1977.”

It was a #1 smash on the country charts in both the US and Canada, and it's title became a catchphrase for blue collar workers everywhere.

It still is, although possibly a bit muted for the times in which we live.

The artist, Johnny Paycheck (a play on the name Johnny CASH, of course), had other hit records, but nothing that came close to the popularity of this one!

But, really, “Take This Job and Shove It” was impossible to top!
