In the beginning, fans thought San Francisco's Pablo Cruise was the name of one of the guys in the band. When people would ask "Which one is Pablo?," they'd answer, "The guy in the middle." The band was a quartet. (Think about it!)
Then, when people would ask why they chose the name, they had a serious answer: "Pablo represents an honest, real, down-to-earth individual, and Cruise depicts his fun-loving and easygoing attitude towards life."
In the mid-70s, Pablo Cruise released a number of singles, two of which became "Great Songs." We've already highlighted their first, 1977's "Whatcha Gonna Do," back on 12/21/20: https://www.facebook.com/MichaelCuuuk/posts/249866176486837
Today, we're highlighting their second: "Love Will Find a Way." In the summer of 1978, the song was all over the radio, becoming a Top 10 hit in 3 countries: Australia (#8), the US (#6), and Canada (#3).
The group is still out there today, with three of the original members still playing their "Great Songs" in concert: guitarist/vocalist David Jenkins, keyboard player/vocalist Cory Lerios, and drummer Steve Price.
