It's interesting to note that up until the mid '70s, Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees hadn't really thought about singing with what turned out to be an incredible falsetto voice.
However, once he started using it, a whole new world of "Great Songs" opened up for the group.
Many of their following hits became disco classics...but some great ballads were sprinkled in...including "Love So Right," today's "Great Song of 1976."
Barry, Robin and Maurice all had a hand in writing the song, which Barry has said was influenced by The Delfonics, the soul group whose "Great Song of 1970," "Didn't I Blow Your Mind This Time" we highlighted back on 6/20/21.
"Love So Right" was big in both North and South America, topping the charts in Brazil, reaching #2 in Canada, and peaking at #3 in the US.
Below, I've included a link to the Delfonics so you can hear the influence, but "Love So Right" by the Bee Gees really stands on its own as a "Great Song of 1976! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-1g4yRH5GU
