The parade of music world deaths in 2023 keeps marching on, and it's RELENTLESS: Anita Pointer, Fred White of Earth, Wind, and Fire, Jeff Beck, Lisa Marie Presley (who released a few songs of her own between 2003 and 2013), and now drummer Robbie Bachman, one of the 3 Bachman Brothers who, with Fred Turner, founded Canada's Bachman-Turner Overdrive, has passed away at the age of 69.
Here's the comprehensive obituary from Variety Magazine:

Over the past 3 years, I've highlighted all of BTO's hits--except one. Until now.
1975's "Hey You" was a #1 hit in Canada (#21 in the US), that featured the distinctive BTO "sound" and featured Robbie's pounding drums throughout. (The song was also a Top 10 hit in West Germany and New Zealand.)
In the words of Robbie's brother Randy, "Maybe Jeff Beck needed a drummer."
Considering that Jeff was notorious for being picky, and Robbie was an excellent drummer, who's to say Randy is wrong?
"Hey You" by Bachman-Turner Overdrive: one of many "Great BTO Songs of the '70s," all of which featured Robbie Bachman on drums. R.I.P. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHyrIe69L50
