They don't make 'em any bigger and/or better than today's "Great Song from the '70s!" According to the group, they KNEW they had a hit on their hands before they were done recording it, but little did they know just how big it would be. It was released in late 1976, and by the end of 1977, it had gone to #1 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Rhodesia(!), South Africa, The USSR, Sweden, The UK...and yes, the US! This song has NEVER lost its popularity...in part because of the musical and movie "Mamma Mia," but mostly because it is a GREAT song! Here's ABBA:
