Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Baby (1974) 10/12/20

He wrote it, sang it, produced it, and released it as a single. And then...


#1: Radio airplay and record buyers made it #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 and Soul Charts (and #5 on Canada's Top 40). #2: Ladies everywhere fell in LUST with Barry White.


In 1974, Barry White was the epitome of cool, romance, and sexual energy. And for many women, the song, “Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Baby,” was a call to arms (and other body parts)!


Even the men had to agree that Barry had it “goin' on.”


There's really not much more I can say...except that “Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Baby,” was definitely a “Great Song of the '70s!


But there IS a sequel:


In 1993, Taylor Dayne recorded a cover that charted around the world. In the US, the song went to #1 on Billboard's Dance Chart, as well as #8 on the Pop Chart, #15 on the Adult Contemporary Chart, and #20 on the Hot 100. In Canada, it went to #8 on the Dance and Top 40 Charts, as well as #6 on the Adult Contemporary Chart.


It was her last Top 40 hit, but she went out with a “Great Song of the 90s!”
