Back in Love Again - LTD (1978) 11/28/21

Here's a name that may or may not ring a bell: Jeffrey Osborne.

Jeffrey is a Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter/musician/and lyricist who was a mainstay on Billboard's Rhythm & Blues charts throughout the '80s, '90s and "00s."

Arguably his biggest hit (of many) during that time period was 1985's "You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song),” which reached #2 on the R&B and Adult Contemporary Charts, and #16 on the Hot 100. (Check the link below.)

During the '70s, however, Jeffrey was a member of the soul/funk/disco group LTD, which in late 1977/early 1978 came up with a funky little tune called "Every Time I Turn Around) Back in Love Again."

The song went to #1 on the R&B chart, but it also reached #4 on the Hot 100, and #19 on the Disco Chart. In Canada, it reached #2 on the Top 40.

At She-nannigan's in Eau Claire, the song was a good set starter and floor filler for quite some time! If you were a regular back then, you should remember this one. If not, and/or you've never heard the song before, you're in for a treat...because "Every Time I Turn Around) Back in Love Again" by Jeffrey Osborne and LTD is definitely a "Great Song of '77-'78!)”
