"Out of the car, long hair!" In late 1972, Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina released their toe-tappin' "ode to the generation gap." In early 1973, this "Great Song of the '70s" went to #4 in the U.S. and #5 in Canada.


Trivia: In late 1989, the song hit the Top 10 again, recorded, if you can believe it, by the group Poison!
